Casualty Evacuation

Fundraising target: 15000€

Who: 59th Mechanized Brigade

Summary: Buying and repurposing two Nissan Patrols as casualty evacuation vehicles for frontline medic teams

Date: May-June 2025

In Ukraine’s warzone, ambulances can’t navigate rough terrain, and aeromedical evacuations are impossible due to dense enemy anti-air defenses. Armored personnel carriers (APCs) aren’t a viable solution either—the demand far exceeds both production capacity and funding.

That’s why off-road medical evacuation vehicles are essential. By supporting this project, you’ll help us:

  1. Procure an off-road vehicle

  2. Upgrade it for battlefield conditions (mud-terrain tires, reinforced bumpers, armored glass, etc.)

  3. Convert it into a medical transport with a redesigned interior and essential medical equipment

Your support ensures wounded soldiers get life-saving care—fast.

Below you see pictures of this project. In the first picture are our volunteers successfully handing over the two vehicles to Anna and her helpers in Lviv. In the second picture, you see the medics who now use the car that is handed over by Anna from our partner organization, the Stasiuk foundation. In the last picture you see Max, the head medic of the battalion, driving the car across the Donezk border.
